NJWELL is a wellness program offered to active employees of the public sector who participate in the State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) and their covered spouses/partners.
In an effort to increase overall wellness and promote a healthy lifestyle, the State Health Benefits Program offers the wellness program, NJWELL. The program is designed to help and reward eligible employees and their covered spouses or partners for completing activities designed to promote healthy behaviors. NJ Wellness Program Overview
- NJWELL is a free program administered by the Division of Pensions and Benefits through your SHBP or SEHBP health insurance carrier – Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey.
- You can take advantage of a wide variety of health and wellness tools by registering through your insurance carrier’s online portal.
NJ Wellness Program Eligibility
You are eligible to register for the NJ Wellness Program if you meet one of the following criteria:
- Actively employed members of a NJ state administered health benefits program
- Covered legal spouse
- Covered same sex domestic or Civil Union partner
Employees who waive or are not eligible for SHBP or SEHBP coverage, anyone enrolled in retiree SHBP or SEHBP coverage, and dependent children (including those over the age of 18) are not eligible to participate in NJWELL.
